from New York ! 18/09/08

マーガレットのレッスン3回目。初めて普通のピアノ曲を見ていただきました（詳しくはピティナへ）。彼女は、今さらながらにとても良い先生。初弟子になれて、本当に光栄です。

帰り道、SOHOの「The New Museum」にて現代アートを急ぎ足で見、そのままCHELCEAの「The Kitchen」という実験的イベント会場で、なんだかものすごい現代パフォーマンスを見ました（出演者もお客さんもビールを飲みつつ…、最後には妊婦さんが裸で出てくる様な…）。ニューヨークには、色々な人種が普通に混在する日常と、それを可能にする明快な社会システムがあります。世界全体の縮図を見ている気さえする日々。これまでは、それをポジティブに感じてきましたが、今日のふたつのイベントからは、その裏側に潜むネガティブな部分を初めて感じた気がします。これもある種「アート」の役割だと思いました。

***English Practice***

I took the 3th lesson from Margaret. I learned normal piano works from her for the first time.She is very good teacher afresh. I'm happy to be first pupil of her.

On my way home, I went to ‘The New Museum’（SOHO） to see contemporary art. After that I went to  ‘The Kitchen’(CHELCEA) to see experimental performance by Radiohole. I was so surprised because not only audience but also performers drunk beer, and naked expectant mother appeard at the last scene ! I could know a negative part of this cosmopolis for the first time throught this 2 events... I thought that to tell negative parts of society to audience was also important role of Arts.
